My grandfather Billy Thomson

A great man, admired by all who knew him.

I took the photo for this on Christmas day in 1984, it was also his birthday.

I always liked the photo and decided to draw him early in 2007.

When I finnished it I thought "that's not too bad".

Although I had done other drawings before, this is really the one that got me started doing them seriously.

I gave this to my mother for her bithday, since then I have added all my grand parents to her and Dads collection, they now have no wall space.
